The Post Editor is the heart of PaddyPost, allowing you to craft content, customize it for each platform, and schedule it for the perfect time.

The Post Editor

To create a new post, click the Create Post button in the sidebar.

1. Select Accounts

Choose the social accounts you want to publish to. You can select multiple accounts to publish the same content simultaneously.

2. Write Content

Use the text editor to craft your message.
  • Emojis: Click the smiley face icon to insert emojis.
  • Hashtags: Use the hashtag manager to insert saved hashtag groups.
  • Variables: Use variables (like {{title}} or {{link}}) if you are using a template.
  • AI Assist: Click the AI Assist button to help generate or refine your text (e.g., “Rephrase to be more professional”).

3. Add Media

You can upload media from your device or use the built-in libraries:
  • Upload: Drag and drop images or videos.
  • Stock Photos: Search and insert images from Unsplash and Pexels.
  • GIFs: Search and insert GIFs from Tenor.
  • Media Library: Reuse previously uploaded assets.
You can add Alt Text to images for accessibility. Hover over an image and click the “Alt” button.

Customizing for Each Platform (Post Versions)

When posting to multiple networks (e.g., X and LinkedIn), you might want to tailor the message for each.
  1. Write your Original (default) content.
  2. In the “Versions” tab (or by clicking the platform icon above the preview), select a specific account.
  3. Toggle Customize for this account.
  4. Edit the text or media specifically for that platform without affecting the others.
This is perfect for adjusting character counts for X (Twitter) or adding platform-specific hashtags.

Features

For platforms that support it (X/Twitter and Mastodon), you can create Threads.

  2. Click the + Add Thread button (or “plus” icon) in the editor.
  3. Continue writing your thread.

For Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook, you can schedule the First Comment to go out with your post. This is great for hiding hashtags.
  1. Enable First Comment in the post options.
  2. Type your comment content.

Once your post is ready, you have three options:
  • Add to Queue: Adds the post to the next available slot in your Posting Schedule.
  • Schedule: Pick a specific date and time.
  • Publish Now: Sends the post immediately.
