PaddyPost supports connecting to any Mastodon instance (server), allowing you to schedule posts and engage with the decentralized web.

Prerequisites

  • You must have a Mastodon account.
  • You need to know the URL of your Mastodon server (e.g., mastodon.social, fosstodon.org).

Connecting Your Account

Navigate to Accounts

In the PaddyPost sidebar, click on Accounts.

Add Account

Click the Add Account button in the top right corner.

Select Mastodon

Choose Mastodon from the list of social networks.

Enter Server URL

You will be prompted to enter your Mastodon server address (e.g., mastodon.social).
  1. Type your server domain.
  2. Click Next or Connect.

Authorize Application

You will be redirected to your Mastodon server’s authorization page.
  1. Log in if you aren’t already.
  2. Click Authorize to grant PaddyPost access to your account.

Finish

You will be redirected back to PaddyPost with your Mastodon account connected.

Troubleshooting

Ensure you are entering just the domain name (e.g., mastodon.social) without https:// or trailing slashes, unless specifically requested by the form field.
Yes, you can connect multiple accounts from different servers or the same server. Just repeat the process for each account.
